About Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui Since opening in 1987, Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui has established itself as the leading family-owned hotel on the tropical island of Koh Samui, Thailand. Set within lush tropical gardens on a hillside overlooking a secluded bay, accommodation at Garrya Tongsai Bay consists of 83 suites, cottages and villas. All rooms offer mesmerising ocean views and boast spacious terraces, enabling guests to enjoy and connect with their tropical surroundings. The bay is private and completely free of beach vendors. We offer complimentary non-motorised water sports to keep the peace and ensure we have a great bay for swimming. Tongsai Bay is the only private bay that’s 10 minutes from Chaweng beach, 10 minutes from Fisherman’s Village and 10 minutes from the airport. It also has 28.5 acres of lush green natural landscape wrap around our hillside overlooking the bay that welcomes over 66 different species of birds. The Garrya Tongsai Bay has continued to grow from strength to strength and developed its own ‘Green Projects’. This is now the model for many new hotels who also desire to preserve the natural environment for future generations, both in Samui, Thailand and internationally. Note 1: Due to environmental reasons, Garrya Tongsai Bay does not allow fireworks, fire lanterns (Kom Loy) as well as any activities involving animals. Ceremony Locations The Beach The Beach at Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui is 150 metres long and both sides are secluded by the rock. We recommend couples start their ceremony around 16:00-16:30hrs when the big tree at the beach restaurant provides partial shade over the ceremony area. Courtyard is located right by the main lobby in the middle of the hill, you can have a wedding celebration overlooking the garden, beach, and ocean. RHOY! is an indoor open area and is great for a dinner reception for between 60 to 80 guests. It is also a great backup venue in case of unfavourable weather. Reception Locations Fish Tales Dining seaside at Fish Tales is a casual affair with a large array of cuisine options. Located right by the beach, the restaurant will be decorated with lanterns and fairy lights. The restaurant is also surrounded by a wooden deck where the couple can have their first dance.
