About Amanpuri Since its opening in 1988, the Thai beach resort of Amanpuri has established a reputation for personal service, fine cuisine and cruising, all of which complement the natural beauty of its tropical island surroundings. Named after the Sanskrit-derived words aman and puri, meaning ‘place of peace’, Amanpuri’s 40 accommodation pavilions and other structures were designed to reflect the graceful architecture of the ancient Thai capital, Ayutthaya – the ruins of which can still be explored today in central Thailand. On entering the resort, individual pavilions with scallop-tiled roofs soaring to lofty peaks are surrounded by regal coconut palms, and are surrounded in turn by a magnificent 27 metre midnight-blue swimming pool. Complimentary Thai tea is served daily in the afternoons from the steps of the pool pavilion, and this is also where traditional Thai music is performed most evenings. Other central pavilions house the reception, restaurants and bar, and overlook the swathe of stone steps leading down to Pansea Beach. Here at Amanpuri, Aman Resorts’ flagship property, you will experience a wedding celebration filled with absolute luxury and elegance, together with the turquoise expanse of the Andaman Sea as your backdrop. Note 1: Amanpuri kindly requests that all guests stay in the resort for a minimum of two nights for the green season, from April to October and three nights for the high season, from November to March (Negotiable subject to the period), with accommodation available for up to 40 pavilions and 36 multiple-bedroom villas. Note 3: Blackout dates during the peak period from 15th December to 15th February, so no weddings can be organised during that time. Note 4: Compared to adults, children aged 6-12 will be charged half price for food or drinks.

Ceremony Locations Private Villa Amanpuri’s Private Villas are set apart from the main resort and occupy the property’s private headland, affording breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea. Most enjoy ocean-front settings, and all are private and secluded, yet within easy reach of the resort’s facilities and white-sand beach. Ranging from two to six bedrooms with ocean and garden settings, you will no doubt find your own piece of paradise here. The private villas can cater for 50 guests indoors, 100 guests outdoors and 150 with a pool cover. The Beach Amanpuri’s picture-perfect beach is the ideal venue for beach weddings in the early morning or late afternoon, sundowners followed by a beach barbecue beneath the stars. Torches provide light and ambience as Amanpuri’s chefs prepare a delicious selection of grilled fish, seafood and meat accompanied by salads. Amanpuri has two beaches; the small one can cater to up to 50 guests, and the large one up to 450 guests. Pool Terrace Overlooking Pansea Beach, the Pool Terrace features a 20-metre midnight-blue tiled pool. The venue is the ideal setting for wedding ceremonies and dinners.
